TypeVox runs 100% locally on your Mac. Your audio is processed in real-time on Apple Silicon via WhisperKit and is never saved to disk or sent to any server.

What stays on your Mac

  • Audio input:processed in memory, never recorded
  • Transcription results:stored locally (SwiftData)
  • AI models:downloaded once, run on-device (CoreML)
  • Settings & license key:UserDefaults + Keychain

What we don't collect

No audio. No text. No analytics. No telemetry. No cookies. No tracking. No personal data of any kind.

Network connections

TypeVox only connects to the internet for two things:

  1. Model download:one-time, from Hugging Face
  2. License validation:via LemonSqueezy, only your license key and a machine ID are sent

TypeVox works fully offline after initial setup.

Permissions

  • Microphone:to capture your voice for transcription
  • Accessibility:to detect the active text field and insert text

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-friendly, no cookies, no personal data).
